This Land is Your Land

© 2009 Joshua Stark

Unfortunately, not all of us are taking care of it.

These are pictures from the Sacramento Bypass, a free access land, after dove season. This kind of ridiculous behavior goes beyond the pale. I won't keep on about this, the pictures speak for themselves, and if I were to try to put words to it, I'd just wind up cursing.

Sickening. Those are the same folks that have kept our family from having the access to our own rivers in the Delta. I remember simply camping on the side of the levee road or crawling down the levee for some nightfishing. Now, all that's impossible.

It saddens me to think that, because of this stuff, those lands on the margin that gave our family so much pleasure are no longer available to my grandchildren. And what great times we had.
